Inline Gear Reducers
Direct-coupled inline gear reducers built for high torque at low output speeds in heavy and rugged industrial duty.
Inline Gear Reducers
Inline gear reducers couple the input and output shafts on the same axis through one or more helical gear stages, delivering high torque at low output speeds. They are the standard answer for rugged, continuous-duty applications — compressor and blower drives, mining and aggregate equipment, oil and gas process trains, robotics cells, and automation lines — wherever torque density, efficiency, and service life beat compactness as the deciding factor. Multi-stage inline units commonly reach reduction ratios well into the hundreds without resorting to worm geometries that bleed efficiency under heat.
Northwest Power Products supplies inline reducers across the major brands — Sumitomo, SEW-Eurodrive, Nord, Falk, and others — with cross-referencing on older or obsolete nameplates. We rebuild inline gearboxes in-house (gears, bearings, seals, shafts, and housings), keep wear parts on hand for the most common frames, and run emergency service for production-down events. For replacements, we confirm ratio, torque rating, mounting, and shaft dimensions before quoting, and we tell you up front when the factory lead time pushes a rebuild into the better economic call.
Common Applications
