Hydroelectric power stations operate gearboxes that convert relatively slow turbine rotation into generator speed under continuous, high-cycle duty. Reliability and long-term durability beat first-cost on every spec sheet — an unplanned outage costs both lost generation revenue and grid-interconnect penalties. Long-life service is the deciding factor for hydro stations, and we treat it that way. We source OEM-spec parts where the production line is still active, reverse-engineer or cross to current David Brown Santasalo, Falk, Sumitomo, or Foote-Jones equivalents when it is not, and quote rebuild against replacement honestly so the operator picks the path that fits the outage window. Field service, on-site inspection, and outage-window coordination are part of the package; we work the schedule backward from the recommissioning date so the unit is back online on the day the dispatcher needs it.
